This fun design came about when I received my latest box of fun from WeCrochet. When I saw the gorgeous, bright colors of my Dishie Cone cotton, I knew I needed a fun stemless wine koozie for the summer. And, since I’m partial to the criss-cross crochet stitch, the lattice design was born!

It’s a quick make (think an episode of your favorite show) that uses around 50 yards of worsted cotton and a 4.25mm hook. My favorite cotton to use for it is the Dishie Solids or Dishie Cone from WeCrochet (affiliate links).

The Lattice Cosy Koozie Pattern

Finished size: 3” H, 5” W, 10” Circ.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Materials:

• Hook: G/4.25mm
• Yarn: WeCrochet Dishie; Big Twist Cotton; worsted cotton
• Yardage: 50 yards
• Stitch markers (optional)

Gauge: See round 1 of pattern.

Important Notes:

• All stitches are worked through both loops unless otherwise specified.
• The first stitch of each round is worked in the same stitch as the ch2.
• DC 2 is DC in next two stitches. 2DC is two DC in the same stitch. This format applies throughout the pattern, though the required stitch may change.
• Chain stitches at the beginning of a row/round do not count as a stitch and are not worked into throughout the pattern, unless otherwise noted.

Terms & Abbreviations:

Ch: chain

DC: double crochet; worked through both loops

F/O: finish off

SC: single crochet

Slst: slip stitch

St: stitch

Special Stitch Instructions:

Criss-Cross Crochet (counts as 2 stitches): skip space, DC in next space, working behind the DC just made, DC in the skipped stitch

Round 1) Working in a magic circle (leave a long tail for weaving), Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), DC 15. Slst to first DC. (15 stitches)

Round 2) Ch2, 2DC in each stitch around. Slst to first DC. (30 stitches)

Round 3) Ch1, SC around. Slst to first SC. (30 stitches)

Round 4) Ch2, criss-cross crochet around. Slst to first stitch. (30 stitches; 15 X’s)

Round 6) Ch2, *criss-cross crochet, ch1, sk st* Repeat * to * around. Slst to first stitch. (45 stitches; 15 X’s)

Round 7) Ch1, *SC 2, SC in ch1 space* Repeat * to * around. Slst to first stitch. (45 stitches)

Round 8-11) Repeat Rounds 6-7 twice.

Round 12) Ch2, *criss-cross crochet, sk st* Repeat * to * around. Slst to first stitch. (30 stitches, 15 X’s)

Round 13) Ch1, SC around. Slst to first stitch. F/O. (30 stitches)

Weave in the ends. Enjoy your new koozie!
