I’m so glad you’ve joined me for this fun journey! Come see my favorite crochet tools, my preferred yarns, which coffee makes my projects easier, what book gets me through a longer project, my favorite pattern tests and designers, and more! Over time, there will be tutorials, free patterns, a list of some of my favorite must-haves for my crochet space, and a list of my favorite projects to make! I can’t wait to chat with you about all things coffee, crochet, and books!

Hello! My name is Alicia. I’m a wife to Brandon, mom of two, aspiring entrepreneur, and all-the-time creative (if it’s artsy, bookish, music-related, food or baking related, or involves coffee, I’m all in!).

I started crocheting when I was 9 or 10. My grandmothers crochet and I loved watching them. So, for my birthday, I got a “learn to crochet” kit. I was hooked from the first time I made something!

Over the years, I dabbled with crochet. Made a potholder here, a dishcloth there, played around with fluffy scarves, completed an afghan or two, and a bunch of other miscellaneous projects.

Toward the end of college, I really started crocheting more. Sometimes, I couldn’t find the pattern I wanted so I just did my own thing…but never wrote it down (I cook the same way haha!). People would comment on how they would love a pattern, but I was clueless on where to start so I just didn’t try.

Fast forward several years, I was a mom and working full-time. Crocheting was such a stress reliever for me. I started doing even more of my own designs…and still not writing any of them down! Then, I got drawn into the world of pattern testing. I was in love! It was so much fun to help other designers bring their ideas to life.

Through the pattern testing process, I learned how to start writing my own patterns. With the help and encouragement of a couple amazing crochet mentors, I published my first pattern in September 2020!

Since then, I’ve designed several more patterns and have more in the works! I absolutely love designing patterns for all skill levels and watching my ideas come to life for everyone to enjoy!

I’ve been getting more involved with the crochet community online and have been so amazed by over-all camaraderie! Crocheters are a special bunch and I love the interactions we have!
